Laconium– infrared
Our thermal complex features a Laconium, an infra-red sauna. The infrared radiation contains light emitted from the halogen lamps. This heat source applies deep penetrating warmth and is extremely beneficial for muscle aches and rheumatic pains.

Caldarium
Caldaria are luxurious, humidity-warm steam baths enhanced with eucalyptus essence. Heat is radiated through heated benches and walls, lavishly decorated with mosaics. The average temperature in the Caldarium is a relaxing 50° Celsius.

Sanarium - colour therapy
Our sauna plaza features a Sanarium offering colour light therapy. The changing colours of the lighting in this warm and humid sauna will increase your mental and physical well-being. Each colour has a special effect on your mind, body and soul. The average temperature in this sauna is 70° Celsius.

Finnish sauna with traditional stone fireplace
Our Finnish sauna is located in the sauna plaza and features a lying area for guests. Temperatures in this humid environment can reach 80° C. Every fifteen minutes, water and essential oils are poured onto the hot stones of the sauna heater, intensifying humidity levels.

Rose Sauna
Relax by candle light and music in our unique and romantic rose sauna. Rose petals are heated in a special copper kettle, radiating wonderful rose fragrance. This rose fragrance is extremely calming, has a skin-softening effect and is effective against tension headaches and anxieties. Temperature levels in this sauna range from 65 to 70° Celsius.

Himalaya salt crystal cave
Our Himalaya salt crystal cave is enclosed within an earth wall in our garden. The temperature in the cave (60° Celsius) and the cascade relief that humidifies the air release minerals from the salt crystals. This purifies the air. This treatment is extremely beneficial for people suffering from bronchial complaints, asthma and hay fever. Bathing in Himalayan salt crystals detoxifies the entire body. A special sound, colour and scent ritual known as ’Kailash’ is held at set times in the Himalaya cave.

Kelo earth sauna
The Kelo earth sauna has a temperature of 90° Celsius. This type of sauna is made of special polar wood known as “kelo”. It creates an extremely mild climate and a special atmosphere. This unique wood-fired sauna features a natural grass roof.

Kelo panoramic sauna
Outside, along the recreational lake of Bussloo and extending from our very own sand beach, is the magnificent Kelo panoramic sauna. Built on piles, surrounded by natural beauty and boasting marvellous views across the lake, this unique sauna is the only one of its kind in the Netherlands.

Four elements sauna
The four elements sauna introduces the four elements earth, water, fire and air in a very special way. These elements are incorporated into four themes: jungle, North Sea, volcanic and desert. By water, warm air, color and sound you’re every quarter in a different world. Surprise yourself and experience the four elements sauna at Thermen Bussloo. (80 degrees Celsius)

Kelo Aufguss sauna
This sauna is located in the large Kelosauna (the largest in the Netherlands.) Six times a day, a manual "Aufguss" (infusion) is held, during which large quantities of water containing ethereal oils are poured over the heat source. The water evaporates immediately on contact, and is distributed manually around the sauna using special towels. This has a heat-intensifying effect on the sauna.

12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm and 9.30 pm
During this manual pouring, a large quantity of water with essential oils is spread over the heat source. Because the water evaporates immediately and is spread throughout the sauna by the Aufguss employee by means of towels, the sauna temperature feels more intense and hotter. This gush of steam also releases the wonderful aroma of the essential oils. The increased humidity and intensive heating of the skin makes the body sweat more and optimises blood circulation in the skin. It is therefore extremely important to sufficiently cool off your entire body. You feel wonderfully relaxed after the Aufguss.

Infra-red sauna with beds
In addition to the Kelo Aufguss sauna, the Kelo sauna also has the infra-red sauna with beds. The infra-red lights are incorporated in the beds and are also located above the beds so you can lie down and relax without having to turn over. Infra-red radiation has a penetrative effect. Because of this penetrative effect, the use of this sauna has a positive effect on muscle pain and rheumatic ailments.
